On Tuesday after our Venice trip, we drove a short distance to a farm near Corciano to paint. Craig and Jason had scoped out this spot the day before a found it a nice place to paint. When we got there, we drove to around the farm and we were appalled by smell. Jason called it the “sweet” dirty diaper smell, although it wasn’t quite as sweet as Tyler’s. We decided to stay up wind of that smell… smart move and a number of us found a painting spot near a large barn.
We heard squealing coming from the barn and someone shouted that there were pigs in there. It was a cool morning as there were thunder storms the night before and the storm did not fully pass until early afternoon. That made for some amazing light and cloud affects.
I've included a photo of an abandoned barn and my painting of it. Craig came by and took a picture of me painting so I asked him to take a picture using my camera as well.
In the afternoon after lunch, the clouds cleared and I painted the house that was next to the barn. I was experimenting with painting the textures of the wall and door. I enjoyed doing this one.
I wasn’t very awake that day so I did not take pictures of anyone, the landscape or anything other then what I was painting.
