Assisi - 06/27 p.m.

In the afternoon of Friday, June 27th we went to Assisi. This is the home of Saint Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals. We parked at the bottom of a hill and walked up to the Duomo (the main church in a town). We started our visit here touring this church. It was very impressive and we were not allowed to take pictures inside. I only have ones of the outside. I’ve included a picture of the lower entrance and of the carved doors. Inside, besides all the beautiful art, was the tomb of St. Francis.

After touring the Duomo, three of us decided to talk up to the castle on top of the hill. I shot some nice pictures but when we got a little lost, I pooped out and decided to go back. When I reached the city, I took a little picture taking detour before heading to the meeting place in the main piazza. Here are a couple photo I may use as reference for future paintings.
The last photo is of Robert, Aprile, Sola and myself waiting in the piazza for the others; once they all got there, we went out for dinner.
